I had a great time! Francino (hope I spelled it right) was so nice to us, loved that guy. The food was amazing and the vibes were there. Beautifully decorated. 10/10 experience would definitely recommend!!

We had one night to spend in Paris. As the foodie that I am, I NEDED a good French dinner. With a baby with us, and not knowing where we could go until we were ready to eat, I was afraid we might not make it happen. But as we were looking for Notre Dame, we drove down a side street and I saw this restaurant. I knew this was the place. We parked right outside, they had a table available, and it was one of the best meals I have ever had. They let me go into the wine cellar to pick out my bottle of wine. Everything was perfect and the waiter was just lovely. He played with my granddaughter and had us all laughing. The entire meal was perfect!

First ate here in 2019 and the ambience and food were great. Returned back this summer of 2025 to a still great restaurant. You get to pick your own wine in the cellar, there’s lots of food options that all came out excellent, and the interior is beautifully decorated. We made a reservation for 8 people but even on a Monday evening, it wasn’t busy with tourists so that was additionally enjoyable.

One of the great, traditional French bistro and meals. My GF is vegan and she adored it. I had one of the best steaks ever, and Freddy was absolutely charming to us both! I'd walk back to this place from the US, if I could.

Great atmosphere and food. Not far from Notre Dame. Seating is limited at lunchtime as only the downstairs is open. There is only one person serving all the tables, so the service is not perfect, but we could see he was doing his best. Prices are on the high side, with each main dish around 30 euros.

This restaurant is a little gem tucked away on a little side street 2 mins from Notre Dame and no tourists!! Only me and my wife, food and service were amazing. The waiter/owner told us it was the oldest restaurant in Paris (I can’t validate this, but it is definitely old). Can’t wait to go back

What a treasure to discover deep in the heart of ancient Paris! This incredible restaurant dates back to the 1500s, and the building was built from stone remnants of the Notre Dame cathedral, in which shadow this restaurant lies. The Maitre’d is so hospitable and welcoming. He loves to get the guests interacting with each other, it’s not just dinner, but a party downstairs (upstairs is also beautiful and available if you want a quiet, romantic evening). We were greeted with cocktails, had then rillettes de porc for an appetizer. Next, one of the best Bourdeaux wines we’ve had was paired with escargots. The buttery garlic deliciousness was amazing, followed by peppery beef carpaccio. This was paired with some of the best frites we’ve had in Paris! We were too full for dessert, so we will save that for our next visit! If you want to have a dinner you will never forget, seek out this hidden gem and pray that Frederico is working that night!
